Most bathroom problems come from what you cannot see. We rebuild from the substrate up: correct falls, tanking to the wet areas, solid boarding behind tiles and ventilation that actually shifts moisture. Then the visible part, tiling set out so cuts land where they should, and fittings chosen to suit water pressure rather than the showroom photo.
A bathroom is a small room with a lot going on behind the surfaces. Waste runs need the right fall, wet areas need tanking rather than just water resistant board, and extraction has to be strong enough to clear steam or you will be repainting the ceiling in two years. We do this part properly because it is the part that fails.
On the visible side, setting out matters more than the price of the tile. We plan where cuts land, keep grout lines running through, and centre fittings on tiles rather than on the room. Where the property allows it, we add underfloor heating and recessed niches, both of which cost little at first fix and change how the room feels every day.
